Art Club by Kay Sloat Art Club will be held on Thursdays in four-six week sessions. The Holiday Art Club session will begin on October 28 and run through December 9. As in the past the students will need an 11×14” drawing pad to keep at school for each week’s lesson. They will bring them home to share with their families at the end of the 6 weeks. These pads are available for purchase @ $10.00 each.

3G Club….IT’S BACK! Everyone’s favorite after-school club for Montessori students that involves nothing but high-energy, fun-filled, rock ‘em, sock ‘em gym games like dodgeball, kickball, dodgeball, capture the flag, more dodgeball, steal the bacon, medic, lemonade, and still more dodgeball …AND MORE!!
WHO: For all Montessori students in grades 3-6
WHEN: Mondays, 3:00-4:00
DATES: Session I: Oct. 25, Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22 Session II: Dec. 6, 13, 20, Jan. 3, 10

WHERE: Teachers and students will walk to and from the FCC Activity Building (corner of Wayne & Devor) PICK UP WILL STILL BE AT THE SCHOOL AT 4:00

DeColores Chess Club… Learn & understand the rules and ettiquette of chess playing including strategy, opening tactics, notation, chess literature, use of chess clocks. Participants may also participate in a chess team for state and or inter-school matches. No cost to join our club, although each participant should acquire a graph paper notebook and a chess set to be utilized during each meeting.

Spanish Club Join the fiesta! We will be learning new Spanish words every week… including Spanish names, animal names, Spanish foods, customs and much much more. This club welcomes all students Pre-School through 6th grade.

Show Choir This is our second year! DeColores is offering show choir to any interested girl in grades 4th-8th. Show choir will be offered throughout the entire school year, split into two sessions. There will be three sessions and the dates will be posted soon. While it is not required, we highly recommend that students participate in all sessions as a performing group is always better with consistency!

DeColores Drum Club An interactive drumming class using African & Caribbean based drums. Participants will learn basic hand drumming techniques, simple and complex rhythmic drumming, ensemble drumming and improvisation with the drums. The Drum Club is open to grades 3-6.

Practice Club Students have the option of attending one practice club per week. Brandy is available to help students during this time. The rest of the practice minutes will need to be done at home. -There is a $50.00 fee per semester to attend one practice club per week. The funds will go toward our music program expenses. The first semester fees and contract are are due by the beginning of the school year.
